Congratulations to Faith Drinkwater of Curry Rivel on passing her practical test in Taunton on 21st January.

Faith is a student in Hair and Beauty and attends Strode college whilst also working in Langport so having just bought her own car she is all set for independently getting to and from college and work and will also likely take over some of the ferrying of her younger sister from her Gran!

Congratulations to Corbin Pike of Somerton on passing his practical driving test at the FIRST attempt and with ZERO errors on 13th January.

Corbin has been riding a moped few the last few years and was getting pretty fed up of getting wet going to and from his swimming coaching and part-time job so is really glad to have passed!

Congratulations to Freya Bricknell of Othery on passing her test in Taunton on 10th Jan!

Freya is a beauty student at Strode College and is hugely chuffed to have passed so now she can be the one taking her friends to Mcdonalds or Starbucks at lunchtime as she does like her Caramel Frappuccino !

Congratulations to Taif Uddin of Somerton on passing his practical test on the 29th December.

Taif is chef at a local Indian Restaurant having come to the U.K. from Bangladesh in the last couple of years. He is really excited to have passed and now has a U.K. licence . Much of his family lives in London so he can now travel around independently.

Congratulations to Peter O Boyle who lives just outside Somerton on passing his test on 3rd December.

Peter lives in a rural setting not on a bus route so is very glad to have passed so he can now get himself to Strode College, visit his friends and look for part time work as he can now get out and about without having to depend on parents fir transport!

Congratulations to Harry Acott of Somerton (Charlton Adam)on passing his practical driving test on the 5th of November.

Harry is a student at Strode college and living where he does with limited bus services getting to and from college and out to see friends is difficult so he feels like the world has opened up for him now. He recently bought his own car which he loves so is excited to get driving!

Congratulations to Oliver Austin from Somerton on passing his practical test on the 30th Oct with just one driving fault.!

Oliver is a student at Millfield and is an accomplished sportsman in the field of shooting. Look out for him in future Olympics he may well be there! Certainly he will now be able to drive himself to school and back and to practice .

Congratulations to Evie Roarty of Somerton (Middlezoy) on passing her practical test on 28th Aug.

Evie has finished college and is taking a year out with a view to travelling so needs to save money. Now she can drive she’ll be able to go further afield for jobs and be able to see friends more regularly.

Gabby has recently qualified as a teacher and will be starting in her new post in the next week so is absolutely chuffed to have passed in order to be getting herself to and from work.!

Timing was just right for Tyler as she and her family will be moving to Bridgwater soon to live and manage a busy hotel. Originally from the Northeast she is very glad to have passed to be able to get around independently.

Angelo works at a local Care Home but is soon moving to Langport, so driving will be essential for getting to and from work.

Finley follows his identical twin brothers in passing his test at the first attempt and studies at Bridgwater College. Being able to drive will make a big difference for him in getting out and about.

Well done to Conor Gardner of Somerton on passing is practical test in Taunton on 6th May 2025 with just one driving fault.

Conor is very keen to pursue a career in aircraft engineering and is studying at Bridgwater college. This achievement will help expand his possibilities with regard to jobs and apprenticeship opportunities as well as to get around more independently.

Congratulations to Scott Rickard of Keinton Mandeville on passing his practical test in Yeovil on 30th April 2025.

Living in Keinton has meant securing a job has been quite difficult for Scott as his hours need to tie in with infrequent bus times. He is now very excited that this success now opens up the possibility of improvements in his job prospects and more independence in general.
